At Spare Time Sports Clubs, our members enjoy the opportunity to play tennis and socialize together. Our clubs provide a wide variety of recreational and social tennis activities for members. The recreational and social programs are a great way to get out and have fun on the courts with the tennis staff and other tennis members.
Spare Time Sports Clubs participates in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) league program. The USTA NorCal League Tennis is the country's largest recreational tennis league, providing organized, structured team matches for more than 30,000 men and women of all ability levels. Teams are set up according to NTRP (level specific) tennis ratings, so you're always sure that you'll be facing off against someone of comparable ability.
Whether you're a beginner or you're in a league of your own, we've got a team for a player like you.
The USTA has leagues for the following groups at all levels of play: Adults (18 and Over & 40 and Over), Mixed Doubles, Seniors, Super Senior 65, Fifty Mixed, Combo, and Flex Singles leagues. Contact the Tennis Director now to get pointed in the right direction.
USTA membership and Northern California USTA league information can be found at www.ustanorcal.com.
The Sacramento Area Tennis Association (SATA) conducts local interclub league play in the spring, summer and fall in close to 90 league divisions. The Sacramento league play is one of the nation's largest with over six thousand participants. Spare Time Sports Clubs has close to 200 teams participating in SATA leagues every year. Teams are set up by levels of play so that matches are with players of similar ability.
SATA is a non-profit community tennis association affiliated with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the league atmosphere is a more social in nature as compared to the more competitive USTA leagues.
Spare Time Sports Clubs is an active participant with teams formed at all levels of play. We've got a team for you!
